The 2026 openKylin Community Annual Technical Contribution Awards are now open — share in the highlight moment!
With the joint efforts of the vast number of developers and community partners, the OpenAtom openKylin (referred to as "openKylin") community has ushered in another fruitful journey of surging innovation and collaborative progress. To thank the outstanding contributors who actively promoted the community's technological innovation over the past year, the application channel for the 2026 openKylin Community Annual Technical Contribution is officially open. All individuals, enterprises, and team organizations that have made outstanding contributions to the technological development of the openKylin community may participate in the application. The following are the selection criteria and application process for this year's technical contribution awards. We sincerely invite you to participate actively and witness the highlights together.
The openKylin community will evaluate the applications by comprehensively assessing contributors' performance in technical contributions, adhering to the principles of professionalism and neutrality, and form the 2026 Annual Technical Contribution list. The selection categories and criteria are as follows:
openKylin AnnualEmergingProject
For new projects that have been established or open-sourced for a relatively short time but demonstratetremendous innovative vitality. The selection will focus on their technical uniqueness, future growth potential, and potential value to the community ecosystem.
openKylin AnnualInfluentialProject
Open source projects that perform outstandingly in technological innovation, community contribution, and industry influence. Applicant projects need to demonstrate their significant achievements in promoting technological progress and practical applications, and possess broad influence.
openKylin Annual Pioneer Project
Open source projects that demonstrate exceptional innovation capability within their field, achieve major breakthroughs in technological innovation, and bring significant technical contributions to the openKylin community.
openKylin Annual Rising Star
Developers who demonstrate outstanding potential within a short period after joining the community, and through actively integrating into the community, proactively taking on tasks, and completing them efficiently, have achieved notable results in code contributions, issue assistance, or project promotion, becoming outstanding representatives among the community's new forces.
openKylin Annual Contribution Star
Developers who have made important contributions to the openKylin community through code writing, issue resolution, support provision, project promotion, and other means.
openKylin Annual Evangelist Star
Developers who play the role of evangelists in the community, leading and motivating community members to actively make important contributions to the development and progress of the community.
Applicants for contributions are requested to scan the QR code below before October 28, 2026, Beijing time, to complete the application form for the "2026 openKylin Community Annual Contribution Selection."
- October 28: Application deadline. During the application period, community members may publicly nominate, including self-nomination/recommendation by others.
- November 2: The community Community SIG group conducts a preliminary review of the application materials and provides feedback on any necessary supplementary materials.
- November 9: The Technical Committee determines the final list of selected candidates.
- November 10: Public announcement on the official website.
- November 20: openKylin Community Annual Technical Contribution Appreciation Ceremony.
- Through public nomination by community members, self-nomination/recommendation by others is allowed, or recommendation by a Maintainer;
- One organization/individual may choose at most two projects for application;
- The application content must include specific proof of the contributor's contributions (for example, contribution project links, PR links, activity participation photos, etc.);
- Please ensure that the content, data, etc. provided are true and valid;
- The final annual contribution categories and names shall be subject to the on-site ceremony. If there are adjustments, no further notice will be given.
