Unlock all mobile scenarios, the Kylin 100 Smart Connectivity Operating System has passed the openKylin derivative distribution certification.

The OpenAtom openKylin (referred to as "openKylin") derivative distribution ecosystem has gained a new member: recently, the Kylin 100 Intelligent Connectivity Operating System successfully passed the openKylin derivative distribution technical certification. This certification conducted a comprehensive evaluation covering dimensions such as system basic capabilities, ecosystem compatibility, and technical specifications. The Kylin 100 Intelligent Connectivity Operating System is designed for intelligent terminals and multi-form devices, adopting a "dual-kernel, dual-system, dual-ecosystem" architecture, providing a unified operating system foundation platform formobile terminals、desktop terminalsand more intelligent devices.

Dual Kernel, Dual System: One for General Use, One for Trustworthiness
The core of the system is composed of two kernels working in coordination:
- openKylin Linux 6.6 kernel: The general-purpose operating foundation, responsible for basic services, application execution, software and hardware adaptation, and ecosystem compatibility, providing a mature and stable general-purpose operating environment;
- X-Kernel trusted kernel: Productized based on the X-kernel project results launched by the openKylin XTeeOS SIG, developed using the memory-safe language Rust, providing trusted system support and enhancing system security, reliability, and continuous evolution capabilities.
Through the dual-kernel architecture, the Kylin 100 Intelligent Connectivity Operating System achieves the coordinated integration of general-purpose and trusted capabilities, fully leveraging the ecosystem advantages of a general-purpose operating system while also having room for future evolution.
Dual Ecosystem: Mobile and Desktop Collaborative Support
Ecosystem compatibility is the lifeline of an operating system. The Kylin 100 Intelligent Connectivity Operating System focuses on two key aspects:
First, maintaining full compatibility with the desktop Linux ecosystem, allowing traditional desktop Linux applications to run directly;
Second, introducing support for mobile applications and services to expand application coverage.
The mobile ecosystem and desktop ecosystem are no longer two isolated islands, but are collaboratively supported on the same system platform—users get a more continuous application experience, and developers gain greater room for operation.

The Combination of Open Ecosystem and Independent Innovation
Passing the openKylin derivative distribution technical certification this time is an important achievement of the Kylin 100 Intelligent Connectivity Operating System in adhering to the combination of open ecosystem and independent innovation: based on the openKylin open ecosystem, it absorbs the technical accumulation and ecosystem advantages of the Linux open-source community; while continuously enhancing the system's own capabilities through the X-Kernel kernel. This forms coordinated development betweenopenness and compatibilityandindependence and trustworthiness.
Looking to the Future
Gathering ecosystems through openness, driving development through innovation. The Kylin 100 Intelligent Connectivity Operating System will rely on the openKylin Mobile Intelligent Connectivity Working Group, continuing to advance kernel capabilities, device adaptation, application ecosystem, and system experience, promoting further integration of the mobile ecosystem with the Linux ecosystem, improving the dual-kernel dual-system capabilities, and working together with developers and industry partners to build a new open, integrated, and trusted operating system ecosystem.
About openKylin Derivative Distribution Certification
openKylin adopts an open collaboration model. Any organization or developer can rebuild derivative distributions based on community code, software packages, and community distributions for scenarios such as government affairs, education, energy, industry, and terminals. Derivative distributions can apply for certification with the community (compatibility certification and technical certification), and those that pass will be displayed on the community's official website and issued corresponding certification certificates.
We welcome more manufacturers and development teams to build their own distribution products based on openKylin and join the community ecosystem through certification—from kernel technology to application ecosystem, the openKylin community is willing to build and share with all partners.
