About openKylin
OpenAtom openKylin (referred to as "openKylin") is an open-source project incubated and operated by the OpenAtom Open-Source Foundation. With the vision of "providing the world with an open-source operating system deeply integrated with artificial intelligence technology," the community aims to jointly build a world-leading open-source root community for intelligent operating systems based on openness, voluntariness, equality, and collaboration, promoting the prosperity and development of Linux open-source technology and its software and hardware ecosystem.
The deployment volume of openKylin series has exceeded 24 million, serving over 2.4 million users worldwide from 188 countries and regions, and gathering more than 25,000 contributors. The community ecosystem is thriving, attracting over 2,200 member units and more than 130 universities to participate, and has established 157 SIG groups and 54 user groups globally. The openKylin community has been rated as an "Advanced-Level Trusted Open-Source Community" by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology for three consecutive years. Thanks to major breakthroughs in desktop root technology, it has won over 50 honors, including the 2023 "Top Ten National Heavy Equipment of Central Enterprises" and the 2025 "CCF Science and Technology Progress Special Award."
