openKylin 2.0 SP2 Important Updates | Nearly 400 Defect Fixes to Comprehensively Improve System Stability
Today, the OpenAtom openKylin (hereinafter referred to as "openKylin") community officially pushed the new round of updates for openKylin 2.0 SP2. This update focuses on system stability, centrally fixing nearly 400 defects found in community user feedback and internal testing, covering multiple key modules such as AI features, software store, system updates, desktop environment, network connections, and hardware peripherals.
System Installation and Upgrade Methods
Method 1: Download the latest image from the openKylin official website for installation (suitable for new users or users who want to reinstall the system);
Method 2: Go to System Settings - "Update" interface and follow the prompts to complete the system update (suitable for users who have installed an older version);
Method 3: Open Maintenance Mode (Settings - About - Click the UKUI LOGO 5 times - Find Maintenance Mode in the sidebar and enable it), then run the following command in the terminal to update. After upgrading, exit Maintenance Mode (suitable for developers):
Overview of This Update
This update fixes a total of 400+ defects. The following are the key fixes for each module:
[Software Store and Kaiming]
- Fix: [Kaiming Package] After the server publishes a higher version of software, the Kaiming service needs to be restarted before software updates can be detected (I9TEWD)
- Fix: The About interface in the software store should not display an email address (I9UUT7)
- Fix: [arm] [Software Store] When installing Tencent Meeting (kaiming), error 003 is displayed in English (IB27JL)
- Fix: After opening the software store and switching the left navigation multiple times, CPU usage exceeds 100% (IBP5XP)
- Fix: The system comes pre-installed with 11 Kaiming applications, but the store displays them as deb format (ICT5VF)
- Fix: Installing offline Kaiming packages via SDK method, compilation error occurs according to the demo's readme (ICT6MV)
- Fix: [KARE] Driver installation fails after connecting a printer (ICTLLL)
- Fix: [Software Store] [Local Model] qwen local model, software store size display is abnormal (ICUAIB)
- Fix: When using an extended screen, the UI cannot be seen after opening the software store (ICVZDS)
- Fix: [English Translation] [Software Store] Software descriptions are not translated into English (ID66N3)

- Fix: [Software Store] Version 4.46 of the store takes more than ten seconds to load on a blank page every time it is opened (IHV34D)

- Fix: System updates cannot be performed when the laptop battery is below 50% and the power adapter is plugged in (I7LGLT)

- Fix: Daily build version, after update and restart entering the desktop, the desktop is black, but software can be launched and used, and the launcher is available (I94UDE)

- Fix: After upgrading image id 2931 to 2986, opening Firefox for the first time opens the enterprise workbench (IJW7VY)
