openKylin debuts at the 2026 Kylin Software Education and Healthcare Innovation Application Conference
October 23rd,the 2026 Kylinsoft Education and Healthcare Innovation Application Conference (Xinjiang Station)was held in Urumqi. The conference was guided by the China Software Industry Association and the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Software Industry Association, and hosted by Kylinsoft. As a key activity of the 5th Xinjiang Programmers' Festival, it focused on pragmatic alignment around the compliant implementation and digital-intelligent upgrade of education and healthcare informatization, injecting the underlying momentum of independent innovation into the digitalization of people's livelihoods in the core area of the "Belt and Road" initiative.OpenAtom openKylin(hereinafter referred to as "openKylin")was invited to attend and deliver a thematic presentation, joining guests from industry associations, universities, medical institutions, and ecosystem partners to explore practical pathways for industrial digital transformation and high-quality development.
At present, digital construction and large-scale AI application in education and medical fields are accelerating in tandem, with the five-department document "Implementation Opinions on Promoting and Regulating the Application Development of 'Artificial Intelligence + Medical and Healthcare'" and the Ministry of Education's "Artificial Intelligence + Education" action plan driving progress from both ends. At the meeting, Yang Xiufen, President of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Education Equipment Industry Association, Zhao Wanru, Chief Supervisor of the Pharmaceutical Industry Chamber of Commerce of the Federation of Industry and Commerce, and Lü Lianhua, Deputy Secretary-General of the Software Industry Association attended and delivered speeches; Song Jiepeng, Senior Vice President of Kylinsoft, stated in his address that security is the prerequisite for AI deployment, and intelligence is an extension of the security foundation; Meng Xiao, Director of the Software and IT Services Center of China Software Testing Center, and Li Xiangkai, Vice President of Kylinsoft, respectively presented keynote reports. The core highlight of the conference was the concentrated release of four deeply adapted joint solutions—"Education AI Agent Joint Solution" (Kingsoft Office), "Starrock Monolith Integrated Machine Joint Solution" (Jingyeda), "Narcotic and Psychotropic Drug Control Joint Solution" (Chengrui Huaxin), and "'Kylin·Medical Data Link' Medical Data Localization Solution" (DHC Healthcare & Vastbase)—all jointly launched by each party together with Kylinsoft, forming a complete closed loop of "base capability + scenario implementation."

On the day of the conference, Zeng Sidi, head of technical operations at the openKylin community, delivered a keynote sharing titled"Exploration and Practice in Co-building the openKylin Open Source Community"" The speech unfolds from two dimensions: first, the community's open collaboration mechanism, how industry adaptation and developer contributions can be precipitated through the community version and feed back into commercial distributions, making the open-source ecosystem the underlying living water for continuous iteration of the full-stack solution; second, the practical path of co-construction with universities, with successful cases such as Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications' 112 security patches officially adopted by the community, and Xidian University's one course covering over a thousand students, which have been crystallized into a five-step participation approach of "Course—Research—Competition—Graduation Project—Contribution".

The openKylin community has gatheredover 30,000 developers, more than 2,400 member units, and 1 university station4more than 0, community versions have been deployed over 24 million sets; the 3.0 version released in September this year upgraded the kernel to Linux 7.0, and continues to advance in system-level AI, RISC-V and other directions. For openKylin, the deep implementation of the operating system in education and healthcare industries requires not only full-stack solutions to meet business needs and joint ecosystems to fit scenarios, but also an active developer community to deepen the foundation.Kylin soaring high, synergy reaching far, looking forward to collaborating with more universities and industry partners to continuously co-build, share, and co-govern in real industry scenarios.
